Atelier for Music, Visual Arts & Creative Exchange
About EMOH LEEF
EMOH LEEF is a living space for music, art, and human connection. Rooted in Neuchâtel, Switzerland it gathers artists, musicians, and curious minds to listen, create, and exchange. Here, sound meets image, rhythm meets thought, and community becomes the medium.
Through concerts, exhibitions, and encounters, EMOH LEEF cultivates moments of openness, spaces where art unfolds collectively, where inspiration circulates, and where new forms of togetherness can emerge.

ZHAR Trio: Poèmes d’Orient
With their new album Poèmes d’Orient, recorded in Neuchâtel, the ZHAR Trio invites us into a luminous world where music and poetry meet.
The trio of Julien Monti (flutes), Olivier Nussbaum (archlute, ukulele bass) and Egyptian musician Ihab Radwan (voice, oud) creates a subtle architecture of tone and silence. Arabic poems by Khalil Gibran, Mahmoud Darwish, Nizar Qabbani and Salah Jahine unfold in French translation, framed by the compositions of Nussbaum and Monti, and expanded through improvisation and shared intuition. The result is a space of listening and resonanc: intimate, human and deeply alive.
Their music blends the vibrant tones and spices of the Orient with the harmonies of the West, bridging cultures through sound and emotion.
To celebrate the album’s release, ZHAR Trio will perform two concerts at EMOH LEEF: an invitation to slow down, listen deeply and feel the beauty of coexistence, travelling through voices, memories and time.
DJ Sets by Marco da Mata & Liberation Through Sound
Portuguese DJ and producer Marco da Mata (CH/PT) blends soul, hip-hop and electronic influences with effortless warmth and groove. Active since the 1990s, his sets move between deep rhythms and uplifting energy, always shaped by curiosity and flow.
Liberation Through Sound, aka Christian Tarabini, is a record digger from the Grisons based in Geneva. In 2023 he launched his label De Occulta Records, releasing a previously unheard live by Sun Ra & His Arkestra, and collaborated with Luaka Bop on the official reissue of Pharoah Sanders’ Pharoah (1977). Claire days: I remember something
With I remember something, French artist Claire days invites us into a world where memory and melody intertwine. Between folk intimacy and shimmering pop, her songs explore what remains after turbulence — moments of doubt, tenderness and reconciliation turned into sound.
Co-produced with English musician Fink and released in spring 2025 on her label CONTREJOURS, the album unfolds like an imperfect recollection of two years: fragile, luminous, and profoundly human.
At EMOH LEEF, Claire will perform in duo formation, her voice and guitar joined by a companion on keys and electric guitar. Together, they weave textures of light and shadow, songs that breathe and grow with each note.
An evening of quiet intensity, where emotion takes shape through resonance and presence.

Modo n°68 – A Community Artwork by ELTONO
Prébarreau, Neuchâtel | October 2025 – ongoing
After our inaugural wall action Inside Out: “La Source de Prébarreau”, EMOH LEEF presents its next large-scale intervention on the concrete wall facing our Atelier in Neuchâtel. This time with internationally renowned artist Eltono, known for his site-specific and participatory works in public space.
Born in Madrid in 1975, Eltono has created colourful, geometric interventions in more than 120 cities worldwide. His practice transforms chance and structure into collective creation, engaging architecture, environment and community. His work has been shown at institutions such as Tate Modern, Somerset House, Fundación Miró and Artium Museum.
With Modo n°68, Eltono brought his participatory approach to Neuchâtel. Over the weekend of October 4 & 5, 2025, ninety-six participants collaborated to build a large-scale geometric collage. Following a playful system of dice rolls, each participant determined the shape, colour and placement of their piece, cutting and pasting it onto the wall. The result is a vibrant composition shaped by randomness, rhythm and shared intention.
As with our previous wall project, the mural is ephemeral. Weather and time will gradually dissolve it, making space for the next one, a new chapter in this evolving series.
This ongoing outdoor exhibition series, curated by EMOH LEEF, explores the intersection of art, community and urban environment. Each intervention engages residents and visitors alike in an evolving dialogue between creation, decay, and regeneration.
Location: EMOH LEEF, Rue de Prébarreau 10, Neuchâtel
With support from the City of Neuchâtel and all donors and collaborators who made this project possible.

The Atelier
EMOH LEEF’s Atelier is a former glassblowing and painting workshop at the ground floor of an apartment building. The Prébarreau district of Neuchâtel is a vibrant, mixed-use area that brings together manufacturers, coffee roasters, workshops, public offices, and creative spaces such as artists’ and dance studios. While traces of its industrial past, like the old mill building, remain, the district has evolved into a hub of creative energy driven by its people. Today, it serves also as a pedestrian shortcut, where the community shapes the area’s artistic and cultural landscape. The area offers unexpected views of the collegial and other landmarks, and is just minutes away from the city center, lake, and main train station.
